Hey Derek, can you add Email Monk and Clinton Alvord to the list of panelists? That's who I've confirmed so far as being riffers. I'm still deciding on the movie to show, but when I do can we add that to the description?

Alrighty then! I've decided that we will be doing Battle of the Worlds starring Claude Rains for the live mass.
can you add this to be the description?
Rev. Chumley and special guests present a live mass to the B-movie gods by riffing the feature length film "Battle of the Worlds" starring Claude Rains. Come join the Cult!
Thanks Derek, and if I find any more people to riff with us I'll let you know.

Ok just checked out the spreadsheet. Just a few things. You have Kinsey listed under guests for it, it should be me, Clinton Alvord and Email Monk.
Thanks much!

That's funny. I wonder if I'm on any other panels that I don't know about. :D

Eeek!
Well, the change will be on the Google Spreadsheet and on the website, but... I think I missed the boat to fix it in the printed program for the con book. :|

After the last update everything was right with the listing. It had the correct people and description. I checked today and the people were wrong and it had been moved from Sat night at 11:30 to Fri night at 11:30.
I don't have a problem being moved to Fri night (although I think I'm now opposite Sigler's pimps and ho party. When is he doing it?) A we moved you to an entirely different day email or post would have been nice.
No idea how Tvindy got listed as a guest.

Well,
Here is some information about how thing get at the last minute on the deadline day for the schedules being turned in. EVERYTHING is subject to change in those last 3-4 hours. Especially times and rooms, and sometimes we have to move panels around to make room for different stuff which would seem to the outside have NOTHING to do with our track, but yet totally do. So, the changes in times and days are ones that we TRY to prevent, but many times at least 2-4 things ALWAYS change to make sure we get all the stuff we WANT in the track. I can't remember exactly why that event got moved, but we had a few more changes than we did the past couple years. Much of it had to with dealing with other high level guest status people and other events going on NEAR our track room. If I remember correctly... we moved that panel because right across the hall at that time, they are going to have this big Tesla Coil Orchestra, which is VERY, VERY, LOUD. This group tours around, I've never seen or heard of it before, but I have heard it is amazing, but super-loud. So, we moved a few of our panels around so they wouldn't be drown out by the hum and crazy noise.
But, I apologize for not putting out individual e-mails, just we get happy that we made it through the schedule cuts and re-organization this year without having to sacrifice much in the way of our content. Actually, only ONE track had to be cut in the end. But, that was not the fault of the schedule day, the person who was going to do it found out he had to leave late the night before. :)

Tesla coil orchestra? Sweet! Sorry derek, I didn't mean to sound pissed or anything. I'm just happy to be given the chance to have a live show and you two are doing a great job. I appreciate everything you and Swoopy do for us podcasters.
Friday is even better than Sat. As far as I'm concerned. Just wanted to make sure everything was settled before I promote again as I've released an episode saying we were on sat. In the grand scheme of things not a big deal.

All cool,
And, yea, I think Friday and Saturday nights are the best times for events that happen after 5pm. For daytime panels, the best are Saturday and Sunday during the day before 10pm. :)

Well, I met with Clinton at the Expo and everything seems to be coming along well. A few questions about the rooms set up I hope Derek or Swoopy can answer.
How many wireless (or movable wired) mics are there in the room. We'd like to be able to reserve a couple seats in the front row near the screen to sit at to do the riffing but we'd need a couple of wireless mics for it. I have a shure lapel wireless I can bring if I can have a pot on the board. That and the moderator mike could do us if need be.
Also, how much prep time do you think we'll have before the panel starts given that there is another live show before us?
Third question is, what format should I bring the movie in. I can bring a data disk and use VLC or something if you have a computer set up, or I could bring my iPod and hook into any RCA audio video input.
Sorry to be a pain, just trying to make the best show I can for the track.

Last year we had two wireless mics, hopefully we'll have two again this year. I'd recommend you bring your mic, anyway, just in case. The mixer we had last year had plenty of channels.
I'd also recommend bringing both the disc and the video on your iPod, just in case. If I am around, I'll make sure to have my laptop available for you. I have VLC on it, as well. I believe Swoopy will have to request the projector but that did not seem to be a problem last year.
Prep between live shows may be tight but at least you've given us a heads up. If you want to dry run the video and sound set up, perhaps we can find a quiet spot earlier in the day to give everything a go?
You're not being a pain. By posting here, ahead of time, you're actually giving us a fair chance to have what you need to do your show.

I believe we have 2 wireless mics slated for all the panels and events, as well as a computer projector. So, that should not be much of a problem. I told them we wanted the computer projector and 2 wireless mics for all the events in both of our tracks this year. So, we should have those at the con.
For some of the events we will have the cart with a DVD player, but I don't know which events exactly it will be there, but... MOST all laptops have a DVD player/writer these days, so as long as there is one there, that should not be a problem. So, as long as someone has a laptop you should be all good.

Sweet. thanks for the replies about the equipment. I'll go ahead and bring my lav wireless as well and that should do me up fine. I'll bring every conceivable format I can as far as the movie goes as well.
See you all in 9 days!
Rev.
