Tee asked me to post an event request. He'd like to do a book launch event for Billi 2 and Pip's new book, Digital Magic. He'd like to do it in conjunction with a showing of J.R. Blackwell's photography since she's producing the cover for Billi 2. He figures he'll need two slots, if possible.

Derek or Kevin, Tee seems to be having trouble accessing the forums (hence me posting for him)--can you contact him via email and see if you can help?

Wonder what his issue is...

Does he know he has to re-register?

Sent Tee an email on Saturday morning so when he's got time I'm sure he'll let us know what's up.

I talked to him. It isn't that he can't get in... he just can't get in because he is way too busy. So, no big problem, just he is so busy he can't spare the time to even get in here to post or read the forum. :o

Given that he is so busy, I told him I'd shepherd his suggestion through the forum.

Is his idea of a book launch/art show consistent with the track programming? If not, can we suggest a venue that would be more appropriate? If so, can we spare a slot for it, I noticed the schedule is pretty full except for Sunday. He told me he'd ideally like two slots, is that a possibility?

Sure,

But, maybe... would he rather do it as a 'party' event in one of the party rooms? He could call the con and see if they can give him a 'party'. They are doing those types of parties at the new Sheraton location this year. Just an idea.

I'll ask him and let you know. I think it is at least worth looking into.

Cool,

I'll see if I can catch him on Skype as well... he usually pops in there now and then.

No, I didn't know I had to re-register, and that was the problem. As you all can see. I'm making up for lost time with a vengeance! *LOL*

...to suggest any new ideas or topics?

I did just a few days back, with good success. Go for it. :)
