Where to send the sample?

Hi,

Earlier this week, I learned that my podcast has been nominated for a Parsec. I understand that we have to submit a sample, but the site is unclear about where that sample should be submitted to.

What should we do to complete the process?

Hey Jeff,

I'm not a member of the Parsec Awards committee but I may be able to help.

Did you get an email from one of the admins at the Parsec Awards website or did someone tell you that they submitted you at the website?

The reason I ask is that the awards committee posted a notice on their website a couple of days ago that they will be sending out emails soon to all the submitted podcasts with details about how to submit your samples.

So then, I can assume that since we didn't get an email asking for a submission, that my podcast isn't a nominee? We were up for the Writing Related podcast, but seeing as how it's now the 7th, I guess we weren't up to snuff.

No, I wouldn't make that assumption.

I'm just another podcaster here sharing an opinion. I'm not a member of the Parsec committee.

I'm involved with several podcasts that were submitted and I've talked with a couple of other podcasters who were also submitted. None of us has received an email yet so I believe the committee is just behind schedule on getting them out.

If they do things like they have in past years almost every podcast that was submitted will receive an email telling them how to submit their audio sample. The committee then reviews all those samples and select the official nominees/finalists.

However, until Kris or Doug or another member of the Parsec committee officially replies here this is just one guys opinion. :)
