It’s obvious that Mitt Zombie’s running mate needs to be another type of the undead: a vampire. A vampire would appeal to that much needed “goth” demographic (though we must remind them that they can vote absentee instead of having to subject themselves to the sun during voting hours) and there’s the bonus of the vampire already being dead, therefore not in peril of being eaten by Mitt Zombie. Also vampire’s have that “rock star” image going on. People love that.
